Ankawa Humanitarian Committee (AHC) proudly participated in a recent event organized under the Iraq Civil Society Solidarity Fund (ICSF), supported by Oxfam. The event brought together a diverse group of civil society organizations, partners, and stakeholders to discuss key topics related to localization and strengthening the role of local NGOs in Iraq.
As one of the organizations supported through the ICSF initiative, AHC’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing locally led humanitarian and development efforts. The panel discussion, titled “Localization Actions in Iraq,” highlighted the importance of empowering national actors, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that local organizations play a central role in decision-making processes.
The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and showcasing the collective impact of local NGOs working across Iraq. AHC engaged with fellow partners to share experiences, challenges, and best practices in delivering community-centered programs.
AHC extends its appreciation to Oxfam and the Iraq Civil Society Solidarity Fund for their continued support and for creating opportunities that strengthen local capacities and partnerships.
Through such collaborations, AHC remains dedicated to contributing to sustainable, inclusive, and locally driven solutions that respond effectively to the needs of communities across Iraq.
